In January 2021 I welcomed my baby boy into the world, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. But like most new mums it hit me like a tonne of bricks. Breastfeeding, lack of sleep, not feeling like myself, body issues... need I go on. And even though I was an experienced gym-goer before having my baby, I struggled with merging my old life with my new one.
So halfway through my maternity leave, I decided that I wanted to work with people that are also going through this. I felt as though there wasn't enough out there for new mums to do, and in particular for them to do for themselves, to feel good. So I completed the qualifications and I will be starting in September 2021 with fresh excitement and a new lease of ideas.
Starting September 2021
Buggyfit - A full-body workout that incorporates the baby into the workout. Bring along your little one for a fun, feel-good session, that will leave you sweaty but smiling. This class is suitable for pregnant women and postnatal women once sufficiently recovered from the birth.
Slingfit - A real opportunity to connect to your baby and spend some valuable me-time whilst feeling close to your little one. All the exercises will be safe to do with babies in slings and proper guidance will be given. I am not starting slingfit until I have finished my babywearing course, so to ensure the safety of all participants.
Fit mums programme - A workout programme with a difference. I will come to your house or gym and design sessions completely around you. I will take into consideration your goals, ability, equipment, and lifestyle to make sure this programme works for you. I know how tough it is being a new mum and sometimes you want to do something like work out, but there are too many things in the way. My aim with the fit mums programme is to give you support and find a way that you can train with little disruption to your day to day life.
